Mendocino Purps, also known as Mendo Purps or The Purps, is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain that won the high Times Cannabis Cup in both 2007 and 2009. It produces buds that smell of pine and berries, with earthy undertones and the delicious flavour of coffee and caramel. It also has small to medium sized buds. The THC level can reach up to 20% and its cannabinoid levels generally fall between 0.20% and 0.30% but can be higher.
Effects
For users with a lower tolerance, should be aware of this strain’s ability to induce powerful drowsiness and laziness. Also, it is recommended that users keep food close at hand as the “couch-lock” effect may be stronger than the ‘munchies’ effect. This strain may also cause ‘the giggles’.
Medical Effects
When high doses are consumed, it can cause negative effects that include dry mouth and eyes, dizziness, headaches, and some paranoia. However, reported positively by the medical cannabis community, this strain is great for treating anxiety, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, cancer, and chronic pain.
